『MTV Unplugged: KinKi Kids』が、4月11日(水)に DVD・ブルーレイでリリースされる事が決定した。 『MTV Unplugged: KinKi Kids』は、2017年5月 CDデビュー20年を目前に控えた KinKi Kids が、東京・豊洲PITにて約800人の前で行った超プレミアムライブ。 DVD・ブルーレイは、MTV番組内で放送された11曲に、未放送分の2曲とMCをプラスした全13曲のコンプリート・バージョンとなる。 世界のトップアーティスト達が築き上げた伝説のアコースティックライブ「MTV Unplugged」に KinKi Kids が新たに刻んだ１ページ。「硝子の少年」「全部だきしめて」など初期のナンバーから「薔薇と太陽」「道は手ずから夢の花」まで、世代を超えて愛され続ける楽曲をアコースティックな空間で歌う2人をご堪能下さい。

１９９７年にＣＤデビューしたKinKi Kids。踊り魅せるアイドルとして人気を博し、その後シンガーソングライターに成長、幅広い表現力を持つアーティストとなった。番組では、大ヒットダンスナンバーをメドレーで披露するほか、二人で初めて作詞作曲した名曲も演奏。デビュー前から毎日のように通ったＮＨＫ局内のリハーサルスタジオや、民放番組収録後の食事会で共演のミュージシャンから多くを学んだ焼肉店を再訪する。

それまで日曜12時10分から放送されていた『それ行けKinKi大放送』が、直前の時間帯に放送されていた『ともさか家の憂鬱』の枠を取り込んで拡大したリニューアル版。『KinKi大放送』時代と同様に、KinKi Kidsをはじめとするメンバーが出演していた。 日本テレビのこの時間帯の番組シリーズで堂本光一と堂本剛が揃って出演していたのは本番組までであり、『ピカイチ』以後の番組群には光一のみが引き続き出演していた。

Both =LOVE and imase are set to perform on the 13th.The event promises exclusive special stages that cannot be seen elsewhere. ATEEZ members will showcase solo performances, while NMIXX and ZEROBASEONE will light up the Tokyo Dome with live band performances. Additionally, a special stage in partnership with Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, is also on the agenda.
